Women's Seasonal Gatherings Throughout the year the women of SHCC gather together to meet the needs of today's women. We enjoy great fellowship, hear challenging speakers, discuss meaningful topics, and have great girl time!
Our Women's Ministries yearly theme for 2009-2010 is "Get Real!". Specifically, recognizing that there is great power in the words of women, the focus of our Gatherings will be looking at how "getting real" specifically affects women as it relates to their words.Ps. 19:14 says– “May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
This year may we be encouraged to please the Lord by getting real with our words and deeds!

Bridging the Gap
A casual drop-in group for ladies (children welcome)
Purpose: To fulfill some of God's direction in women's ministry by praying for one another.
Providing a team to meet prayed for needs within the church body and/or community (organizing meals for the sick, mailing projects)-and building stronger relationships amongst our ladies. Meeting: At least one Friday morning per month (or more often as needed)
If you've been to our group before, you know how casual it is - so those of you who haven't come yet, do not be intimidated one little bit:) Just come, relax, and enjoy! If you haven't been in awhile....please come back! We miss you!

Project: Easter Invitations to CKC families.
We will be assembling the Easter Invitations which have been lovingly designed and crafted by our own Ann Bennett, Stevanie Sweet, Jacque Reuter and MaryLou Netzer. These invitations will be handed out to the Creative Kids Club kids that afternoon as they are dismissed for Spring Break. I ask each of you to consider praying for the families that receive these invitations, knowing that God can answer the desires of our hearts, and bring more of our CKC families into the SHCC fold.
As always, we will be enjoying a time of fellowship, coffee, tea & light snacks (feel free to bring snack to share if you are able) as well as our Easter project. Come when you can stay for as long as as little as you can! Women's Retreat
The year our Spring retreat was held at Black Lake on May 1st-3rd. The theme was looking at the "Gift of Relationships." This retreat is always a high point of the year for the ladies and this year was no exception.
Take a look at this year's retreat as the women enjoyed wonderful fellowship, teaching, skits, and activities while getting away from the stresses of everyday life!
South Hill Christian Church's Annual Christmas Tea took place on Monday, December 7, 2009. Known for its special place in the community, the Christmas Tea ushers in the holiday season by bringing the touch of Christ's birth to the women in our area.
This year's theme was "Real Joy!" as we looked at Christ's birth from the perspective of the angels. The evening included special music, drama performances, refreshments, and a traditional favorite: the singing of Christmas Carols.
